It´s Tea-Time

A beautiful late summer evening. I am sitting on the terrace having a delicious Darjeeling (a great first flush from the Puttabong garden) while I hear my secretary's reminder: "We urgently need the introduction text for the new catalogue." A clear evidence that a trading year draws to a close and new thrilling times are waiting for us.

How were then the last 12 months since publication of the previous catalogue?

To be honest some things could have been better but basically we are not displeased about the business activities at Hannover. The general economy crisis did not effect us like many other economic sectors.

On the contrary, concerning our tea and tea filter sector as well as our water filter businesses within Germany and especially abroad we partly exceeded all our expectations.

Your and the client's feedback were positive. Our delivery time reaches an almost 24-hour cycle, especially our new 3D-soft-blending process improved significantly the quality of the entire tea pallet.

I always hear that our longtime employees are praised for their expertise and kindness.  

What do we have in mind for the next season?

• New tea types from our three tea designers.
• We have adapted our 1,5 kg flavour protective package to 1,0 kg
• The quality assurance system for our tea and water filter is ISO 9001 certified since February 2009. The ISO/ISF-certification for our tea is already under progress.

The increased costs especially for energy but also for raw material have been compensated successfully by reasonable rationalisation measures during the last months.
